Forecasting Atmospheric CO2 Levels and Carbon Footprint Implications: An ARIMA-Based Approach for Enhancing Climate Policy and Emission Reduction Strategies
ARIMA model is used for the forecasting of carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere that helps in calculation of carbon footprint. Forecasted carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere helpful for the policymakers as they can use these findings and to create frameworks, policies to reduce carbon footprint in the environment. MNCs can use these findings as they can design the process to reduce and optimize the carbon footprint using machine learning algorithms and advance AI technologies. Green initiative will help in achieving net zero goal by 2070 (India). ARIMA Model has been used to forecast as this model gives robust results and the result is then used to analyse the impact of the forecasted and how it can be utilised by various stakeholder and can be used for achieving commitment given by government at Paris climate Agreement. Reducing carbon footprint is crucial as global warming is becoming a serious threat to humanity if left unchecked and green initiative by MNCs like Apple, Google are a positive push in achieving net zero and these findings can be used for setting emission goals and setting key performance indicators.
