Integrating Mathematica into Academic Courses: Enhancing Student Learning in the Study of the Electromagnetic Wave Propagation
Since the current curriculum does not include specific courses on using Wolfram Mathematica for studying electromagnetic waves, integrating practical activities in this field could significantly enhance the understanding of theoretical concepts. Studying demonstrative examples in the software by analytical formulae, calculating them, and resulting in interpretable graphical lines on transmission line propagation for different signals would facilitate a deeper understanding of the occurring phenomena for our students.Given the limited time allocated in the electromagnetic waves course for analyzing signals on electromagnetic transmission lines, incorporating these aspects into laboratory sessions would provide an optimal solution for supplementing students' training. It enhances the teaching and learning of fundamental principles in electromagnetic wave propagation through a practical and intuitive approach. Additionally, it supports researchers in quickly exploring new theoretical and methodological advancements, ultimately improving the efficiency of educational and research activities.
