Highly Efficient Perovskite Modules
Utilization of solar energy is the best way to solve the shortage of fossil fuels and environmental pollution. Solar cells are the optimal strategy to realize the above target. Although Si solar cells have already occupied over 90% of the photovoltaic market, emerging solar cells are supposed to have special application scenarios, such as BIPV, flexible surface, portable devices and so on. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as a kind of emerging thin film solar cells, exhibit some fascinating advantages, such as high efficiency, low-cost, easy fabrication and so on. Although PSCs have exhibited outstanding efficiency of 26.7%, there are still some issues to hinder the commercialization, for example, the stability issues and efficiency degradation while enlarging. Here, we made our efforts on high quality large area perovskite films for efficient hybrid and inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite modules. A new meniscus-modulated blade coating combined with solvent engineering has been developed, and 23.34% efficiency of FAPbI3 minimodules was obtained. Besides, by regulating new intermediate phases in the CsPbI3 phase transform process, improving crystal quality of CsPbI3 films. CsPbI3 module finally exhibited 18.3% PCE (total area: 12.39 cm2) and 19.9% PCE (active area: 11.40 cm2).
