Establishing Standards for ICT-Supported Innovative Learning in Early Childhood Education: A Focus Group Analysis

This study explores the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with the Creative-Based Learning (CBL) framework in early childhood education (ECE) in Quanzhou and its impact on children's innovative capabilities. Using qualitative research methods, including expert focus group discussions, the study proposes and refines an A-F model for innovative learning. The model comprises six key themes: Agency, Be Curious, Connecting, Daring, Experiment, and Fun, each encompassing essential elements such as freedom of choice, self-expression, continuous exploration, cross-disciplinary connections, and learning from failure, aimed at fostering children’s autonomy, curiosity, and creativity in learning. This study provides practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and researchers to enhance the integration of ICT and CBL for promoting innovative learning in children.
