Theoretical Analysis of the Inorganic Perovskite/Gallium Arsenide Tandem Solar Cell for Efficiency Improvement

The perovskite/gallium arsenide (CsPbI<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>Br/GaAs) based tandem solar cell (TSC) can improve the efficiency as compared with single junction SCs. In recent studies on perovskite/GaAs TSC lags theoretical analysis to improve the efficiency, and it attributes the current matching conditions between the sub cells. In this study, we modelled the 2-terminal (2-T) monolithic perovskite/GaAs TSC using the SCAPS-1D software. This theoretical approach offers a way to develop the perovskite/GaAs based TSCs for higher efficiency and it can be applicable for space application.
