Correlation of Electroluminescence Parameters with Self-Healing Behavior in Perovskite Solar Cells
This work presents a novel approach to characterizing the self-healing phenomenon in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) through electroluminescence (EL) spectroscopy correlation with device performance. Through a systematic 15-day study with alternating measurement and storage periods, we demonstrate that EL parameters directly correlate with device self-healing capabilities. Results reveal that EL intensity and efficiency show recovery patterns during storage periods, matching improvements in device performance, while EL-based full-width half maximum indicates defect density variations. The PSC showed efficiency recovery from 4.0% to 6.3% after storage, with corresponding EL intensity enhancement from 0.28354 to 1.2399 microwatts per square centimeter per nanometer. The peak wavelength stability around 778 nanometers suggests maintained band structure despite degradation. This nondestructive method of monitoring PSC regeneration proves particularly valuable for understanding degradation mechanisms and optimizing storage conditions for enhanced device stability, crucial factors for advancing stable perovskite photovoltaics in real-world applications.
