Detection and Mitigation of Detrimental Structural Defects in Perovskite Solar Modules
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have seen remarkable progress through comprehensive optimization, surpassing single-junction limits and reaching 34.6% efficiency in tandem with silicon. However, transitioning from laboratory scale to larger panels raises challenges due to impaired homogeneity and structural damage during fabrication. In this work, we propose to mitigate the impact of local defects on larger areas by additional (P4) laser scribing. This latter allows to limit the spatial influence of defects on the module's electro-optical properties by splitting the sample into different regions. This approach is paired with mapping characterization methods for defect detection.
