Hole Transport Design of Encapsulated Perovskite Solar Modules for Thermal Cyclability

A comparison of two common hole transport layers used for perovskite solar cells, NiOx and MeO-2PACz, is explored, with a focus on how their mechanical and chemical stability is affected by thermal cycling. The performance advantages of MeO-2PACz are initially clear, while NiOx displays a more robust and stable performance with thermal cycling. Ultimately, the use of both materials in a bilayer transport layer is explored in order to benefit from their distinct advantages in designing stable perovskite solar modules.

Abstract

A comparison of two common hole transport layers used for perovskite solar cells, NiOx and MeO-2PACz, is explored, with a focus on how their mechanical and chemical stability is affected by thermal cycling. The performance advantages of MeO-2PACz are initially clear, while NiOx displays a more robust and stable performance with thermal cycling. Ultimately, the use of both materials in a bilayer transport layer is explored in order to benefit from their distinct advantages in designing stable perovskite solar modules.
