CARACTERIZAÇÃO DA PRODUÇÃO DE ARTIGOS SOBRE PROTEÇÃO E DEFESA CIVIL EM REVISTAS TÉCNICO-CIENTÍFICAS DE BOMBEIROS (2015–2024)

This study analyzed the Brazilian national production on civil protection and defense published between 2015 and 2024 in technical-scientific journals maintained by Brazilian Military Fire Departments. The research, exploratory and bibliographic in nature, identified and characterized the journals meeting the inclusion criteria, as well as the articles related to the topic, using the keyword “civil defense” with a minimum frequency of 20 occurrences in the text. Three journals were analyzed: Flammae, Ignis, and Vigiles, totaling 463 publications, of which only 30 (6.48%) met the criteria. The results revealed a temporal irregularity in publications on the subject, with concentration in specific years, predominance of collective authorship, strong participation of military authors, and geographic concentration linked to the editorial headquarters, except for Flammae, which showed greater regional diversity. The publications mainly addressed disaster risk management, strengthening municipal civil protection and defense coordinators, use of applied technologies, and integration with environmental policies. Limitations include the use of a single descriptor for selection and the lack of standardization in editorial information. It was concluded that, although strategic, the topic is still underexplored in these journals, and efforts are needed to increase its visibility and foster interdisciplinarity.
