El liderazgo estratégico en las grandes empresas de El Salvador
Leadership is a fundamental skill for enhancing individual and group capabilities. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to study the profile of strategic leadership in large companies in El Salvador. This research addresses the subject from the perspective of senior management within the organizational structure of large Salvadoran companies who possess the profile of strategic leaders. The aim of this research effort is to determine whether the leaders of large Salvadoran companies meet the characteristics outlined in the six quadrants considered in the article Strategic Leadership: The Essential Skills, published in the Harvard Business Review in 2023. To interpret the findings, a mixedmethod analysis was used, since it involves analyzing the data obtained from a quantitative-qualitative-descriptive-exploratory approach. With this purpose in mind, the data were collected and subsequently processed using SPSS v.22 statistical software. This is a topic that has not been adequately researched in the country. Consequently, the importance of this kind of research lies in understanding the reality of strategic leadership and making proposals to strengthen its impact on business management. It cannot be overlooked that the findings reveal the existence of dynamic leadership, which is undoubtedly enhanced by the leadership skills of both women and men.
