Morphological study of Cu2CdSnS4 nanostructures synthesized via spin coating method at different temperatures
This study explores the surface morphology of Cu 2 CdSnS 4 quaternary alloy nanostructures synthesized via the spin coating method at various temperatures: room temperature, 200 °C, and 400 °C. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was employed to obtain high-resolution nanoscale images, revealing temperature-dependent changes in surface features. Detailed analyses, including 2D AFM simulations, fractal analysis, and statistical parameter assessments, highlighted significant transformations in surface roughness, grain growth, and spatial properties. The Cu 2 CdSnS 4 quaternary alloy nanostructures synthesized via the spin coating method at room temperature are recommended for optoelectronic devices, such as LEDs and photodetectors, due to their specific surface morphology features. These findings contribute to the understanding and enhancement of Cu 2 CdSnS 4 nanostructures for future material optimization in advanced technological applications. • Surface morphology of Cu 2 CdSnS 4 films analyzed at RT, 200 °C, 400 °C and 500 °C using AFM. • Temperature strongly affects roughness, grain growth, and spatial surface features. • Fractal and motif analyses reveal surface feature evolution with temperature. • Room-temperature synthesis yields optimal surfaces for optoelectronic devices.
