Implantação de um Núcleo Técnico de Atenção Psicossocial com estudantes de uma universidade pública
The majority of university students are in the transition phase to adulthood. This phase consists of several challenges that can result in anxiety attacks, depressive symptoms and stress, harming academic performance. To support its students, a public university in the interior of São Paulo created the Psychosocial Care Technical Center (NTAPS) in 2018. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to carry out a historical review and analysis of the first two years of NTAPS implementation. METHOD: To this end, semi-structured interviews were carried out with three vice-principals and four psychologists who participated in the implementation of NTAPS. RESULTS: As a result, it was found that the Center emerged due to student demand, aiming to care for their mental health and prevent suicide. CONCLUSION: The program has been growing, with demand being worked on in a creative way through livestreams, workshops, visits, training, interventions, therapeutic groups and psychological care.
