Interjections as auxiliary means of implementing communicative strategies in the English language dialogue (based on the series “Downtown Abbey” and “Friends”)
The purpose of the study is to establish the role of English interjections in the implementation of communicative strategies aimed at organizing an effective dialogue. The novelty of the study refers to the fact that as a result of an integrated linguopragmatic approach, the specifics of the functioning of interjections in the implementation of dialogue communicative strategies has been defined for the first time. The study revealed that in the analyzed empirical material, hesitational, conative and emotive interjections are the most productive in the implementation of conversational communicative strategies. It has been established that interjections are a significant element of informal dialogue communication, as they can possess adaptive ability and perform different functions depending on the context and direction of the communicative strategy. The analysis determined that interjections serve as an auxiliary means of implementing communicative strategies in a dialogue, creating a comfortable atmosphere of communication and drawing attention to the key elements of the utterance. By using interjections in speech, speakers can clearly demonstrate their attitude to what is happening and significantly increase the effectiveness of communication.
