QUALITY MEASUREMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAINS
This review aimed to evaluate quality measurement and management of sustainable supply chains.Google Scholar was searched for identification of the relevant papers, and a PRISMA flow diagram was used to screen and select 25 papers for this review. The selected papers were discussed under sections of general, DEMATEL, blockchain and COVID-19 based on the topics of focus in these papers. The conclusions are given below. This review revealed many issues related to implementing sustainable supply chains.Unique problems exist in the sustainable disposal of wastes related to the medical, airport, textile, electrical, and electronic sectors.A sustainable supply chain involving the six Rs may be useful.Blockchain, AI, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things promise to support sustainable supply chains. The integration of physical and virtual systems and reverse supply chains with closed-loop systems are promising methods for unique contexts.Violation of sustainability standards, even by major suppliers, is a matter of serious concern. The usefulness of solutions offered for this issue needs to be demonstrated.Matching practices and performances are also required urgently. The COVID-19 pandemic initially threatened global supply chain systems. However, innovative and resilient ways of designing supply chains converted the threats into opportunities. Some managerial implications and future research scope derived from the findings have been listed. Some limitations of this review have also been identified.
