SEGMENTATION OF OBJECTS ON MULTIPOLARIZATION RADAR IMAGES

The paper analyzes the fundamental principles of radar image polarimetric processing and the algorithms for obtaining Pauli and decompositions with the aim of subsequent object segmentation in multipolarization images. Various segmentation approaches are considered, including thresholding based on decomposition results, as well as the application of the K-means method and the Wishart similarity measure.

Abstract

The paper analyzes the fundamental principles of radar image polarimetric processing and the algorithms for obtaining Pauli and decompositions with the aim of subsequent object segmentation in multipolarization images. Various segmentation approaches are considered, including thresholding based on decomposition results, as well as the application of the K-means method and the Wishart similarity measure.
