Tuning energy transition and quantification energy through zinc incorporation in strain-compensated multiple quantum well lasers
Abstract This study investigates the effect of zinc incorporation on the energy structure of strain-compensated multiple quantum well lasers. By analyzing the transition and quantization energy as a function of zinc composition, we observe a systematic decrease in both energy values with increasing zinc content. Conversely, the emission wavelength exhibits an increasing trend, demonstrating the impact of zinc on band structure engineering. These findings provide insights into wavelength tuning mechanisms for laser applications, particularly in achieving emission at 560 nm, with one composition showing optimal performance at minimal well width.
