Visible Light-Induced Cascade Construction of Disulfide and Thioether Groups Promoted by a Cu(II)-Incorporated Conjugated Microporous Polymer
A conjugated microporous polymer PPTA bearing 2,6-bis(1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine (btp) units has been developed from tris(4-azidophenyl)amine and 2,4,6-triethynylpyridine by using a click reaction. PPTA is permanently porous and has a strong ability to absorb visible light. Owing to the exceptional coordination capability of btp, PPTA can interact with Pd2+, Cu2+, or Ni2+ to form polymer–metal complexes. The metalated polymer exhibited excellent catalytic activity in the one-pot construction of disulfide and thioether groups via a dual photoredox metal catalysis. Using this method, a variety of 2-phenylthiophene disulfides were effectively prepared from phenylthiols. Additionally, this heterogeneous catalytic system demonstrates exceptional durability and can be retrieved and reused without any reduction in its catalytic activity.
