INFLUENCE OF ENTREPRENEURIAL SELF-EFFICACY TO ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION ON FAMILY FIRM PERFORMANCE WITH SOCIO-EMOTIONAL WEALTH AS THE MODERATOR
This research explores the relationship between Entrepreneurial Self-efficacy, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Socio-emotional Wealth, and Firm Performance within family businesses. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 118 family members actively involved in their family enterprises. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (Partial Least Squares). The findings reveal that: (1) Entrepreneurial self-efficacy exerts a positive influence on firm performance in family businesses; (2) Entrepreneurial selfefficacy positively impacts entrepreneurial orientation in family businesses; (3) Entrepreneurial orientation is positively associated with firm performance in family businesses; (4) Entrepreneurial orientation serves as a positive mediator between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and firm performance in family businesses; and (5) Socio-emotional wealth moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance in family businesses. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamic factors that drive the success of family-owned firms.
