Finite‐time fault‐tolerant attitude control for hypersonic reentry vehicle based composite learning observer

Abstract In this paper, a sliding‐mode fault‐tolerant control scheme based on a composite learning observer for hypersonic reentry vehicle is proposed. The observer is developed to achieve fault detection by observing the system state and the failure information. The prediction error is composed to enhance the observation capability by evaluating the performance of the intelligent approximation. Meanwhile, a sliding mode fault‐tolerant controller is reconstructed via an adaptive law and the observation error to enhance the tracking and controlling of the system. Additionally, the finite‐time stability of the control system is proved through Lyapunov stability analysis. Finally, numerical HRV simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
