STUDY OF A TANDEM QUADRUPOL MASS FILTER OPERATION IN THE SECOND ZONE OF THE STABILITY DIAGRAM
Tandem mass spectrometers are powerful tools in analytical chemistry. Such devices allow for accurate and efficient analysis of complex systems. There are several types of tandem mass spectrometers, differing in design and operating principle, among which the most common is the quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer. Of particular research interest is the study of the operation of quadrupole tandem mass spectrometers in the second zone of the ion trajectory stability diagram. In this paper, the emphasis is on selecting the values of the angular coefficient λ in the second zone of the stability diagram so that the resolving power of the device is about 300 units or higher.
