DETERMINATION OF COMPLEX COMPOUNDS OF COPPER BY SPECTROPHOTOMETRY
This paper discusses the use of spectrophotometry as a basic tool in analytical chemistry for studying the interaction of light with chemicals. The experiment was conducted on solutions of copper sulfate and tetraamine copper (II) hydroxide with a concentration of 0.5 mol/L. The obtained spectra showed that the tetraamine copper (II) cation has a higher transmittance in the range of 380–450 nm with a maximum at 420 nm, while copper sulfate demonstrates a maximum at 480 nm. The optical density of the solutions was also calculated.
