PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS USE OF AROMATIC COMPOUNDS AS RAW MATERIALS FOR THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY INDUSTRIES
The paper analyzes aromatic hydrocarbons — a class of organic compounds, their properties, industrial application and significance in the modern world. Special attention is paid to the main representatives of this group, such as benzene, toluene, xylenes, cumene and styrene, as well as their derivatives. In the text, aromatic hydrocarbons play a key role in the production of various materials, including plastics, rubber, dyes, medicines, and pesticides. However, some of these compounds are dangerous to humans, which requires taking precautions when handling them. The final part of the text discusses the relevance of the use of aromatic compounds in the chemical industry in the context of a growing population, increasing consumption of chemical products and global climate change. Special attention is paid to the need to switch to more environmentally friendly technologies and materials.
