Study on Customized Cosmetics using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Skin Diagnostic Device

This study measured moisture, oil, pores, pigmentation, sebum, wrinkles, and sensitivity of the skin of 16 college students in Busan using a facial skin diagnostic device. As a result of diagnosing the skin of the 16 subjects, 3 had dry skin, 4 had combination skin, 2 had oily skin, 1 had sensitive skin, 1 had large pores skin, 1 had pigmentation skin, 2 had excessive sebum skin and 2 had antiaging skin.. For dry skin, a combination skin treatment is prescribed with screen extract, for combination skin, essential oil extracted from tea tree tree, for oily skin, green tea leaf extract, for sensitive skin, a combination of panthenol and aesin, for large pores, green tea extract for astringent nighttime action, for pigmentation, licorice extract for whitening, for excessive sebum, tea tree oil, and for anti-aging, for severe wrinkles and pigmentation, a combination of hyaluronic acid, marine collagen, botulinum toxin peptide, and coenzyme Q10 is prescribed. Using these key ingredient prescriptions, lotion formulas were developed for eight skin types. These formulas were then used to produce eight customized cosmetic lotion. Each lotion was formulated to solve each skin problem presented above, and the lotions were designed and formulated based on ingredient ratios and efficacy data to satisfy the efficacy such as whitening and wrinkle improvement. If the national and academic support for customized cosmetic development is met through these research results, the development of customized cosmetics for individuals will be further activated.
