A Study on the Development of a Head Spa Educator Training Program to Enhance the Occupational Competence of New Silver Generation
This study developed and implemented a head spa educator training program to strengthen the occupational competencies of the new silver generations, and then verified the educational satisfaction and effects of the program. Based on the ADDIE model, a 12 session program was implemented for 26 new silver generation beauty service professionals, resulting in a 100% completion rate and a 96.2% overall satisfaction rate. Additionally, all specific areas of occupational competencies—interpersonal competency, organizational understanding competency, occupational ethics and attitudes, adaptability to change, and self-development capabilities—were verified to significantly improved. These results confirmed the program’s content value, validity, and social contribution in supporting the new silver generation’s new life planning, self-development, enhancement of occupational competencies, occupational transition and expansion, and reinforcing occupational ethics and attitudes. Based on these results and implications, this study suggests that practitioners and experts in the head spa and beauty industry pay more active attention and make efforts to develop an educator training program that equips educators with holistic and comprehensive educational capabilities.
