The Effects of Manual Facial Care on Facial Reduction and Asymmetry Improvement: Utilize G-Aesthetic’s 4D Daejak Manual Facial Care
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of the 4D Daejak Management program, developed by a domestic aesthetic franchise, on adults in their 20s to 50s. The program, independently created by G Aesthetics, is a non-medical manual therapy designed to improve facial asymmetry and reduce facial size simultaneously. A total of 16 participants residing in the Gyeongnam region were recruited and randomly assigned to an experimental group (4D Daejak Management) or a control group (general manual technique), with each receiving 10 sessions over five weeks (twice per week) from June 17 to July 21, 2024. Facial size was measured at five landmarks using the Chrysalix 3D simulation system (Switzerland), and asymmetry was assessed via four angular measurements. Data were analyzed using frequency analysis and ANCOVA via SPSS 27.0. The experimental group showed significant reductions in bizygomatic width, philtrum‑to‑menton length, and forehead length, indicating a facial size reduction effect. Additionally, significant improvements were found in facial asymmetry, especially in the angle between the eye corner and nose tip. Other angular differences—between the eye corner and mouth corner, and between the nose tip and chin tip—also decreased more in the experimental group than in the control group. These findings suggest that the 4D Daejak Management program may serve as an effective non-medical intervention for facial slimming and asymmetry correction.
