Nap és Hold szimbólumok a képzőművészetben
The next article in the series on symbols appearing in the Kaleidoscope magazine is one of the most ancient symbols. They occur in all cultures; their role is important in religions and sciences. Their occurrence in fine arts is frequent, both as gods and as natural phenomena. They are an accessory to human existence. From archaic cultures, Egypt, the Greeks, through medieval and baroque art to modern ones, we try to present various ways of representation. We follow how they became a sacred element in the landscape of the 17th-century Netherlands. They can be recognised even in abstract images in a stylised form.
