Centenárium, Kulka Frigyes professzor emlékére egykori munkatársa visszaemlékezése

This paper is dedicated to the centenary of Fred Kulka, a great surgical personality of the last century. As the head of Thoracic Surgical Clinic, Budapest, a lot of procedures have been introduced in clinical practice, such as: intubation of secondary malignant oesophagal strictures, Heller-Belsey and Dor procedures for achalasia, open cricopharyngeal myotomy for Zenker diverticulum, Collis-Belsey and Nissen fundoplication for recurrent reflux, Billroth I limited gastric resection and substernal (Krisár type) colonic-bypass for caustic gastro-oesophagal stricture, diaphragmatic reconstruction of occult diaphragmatic ruptures.
