Vesícula multiseptada, diagnóstico incidental, reporte de caso clínico
Introduction: Multiseptate gallbladder is a rare congenital anomaly that is usually diagnosed when there is pain in the right hypochondrium or as an incidental finding, however, the cause of the pain is not entirely clear. In general, a single gallbladder of normal size and walls of normal thickness is observed, with its differential characteristic of thin septa in its lumen giving a typical honeycomb appearance. Case presentation: We present the case of a 35-year-old female patient with pain in the hypogastrium, with no significant history. Additional laboratory tests are performed in addition to an abdominal ultrasound, which incidentally reveal a multiseptate gallbladder. Treatment with analgesics on an outpatient basis and follow-up by outpatient clinic is indicated. The patient reports improvement with treatment, so she is discharged. Conclusion: This case is presented because it is a rare malformation that is generally asymptomatic.
