¿Qué es y para qué sirve un relato de experiencia profesional?
In health, an experience report shares meaningful experiences for their originality, focus, or depth, with scientific value. It can arise in clinical, community, public health, management, or educational settings and is rooted in social sciences, narrative medicine, and qualitative research. Such reports may be presented at conferences or published in journals, provided they are written clearly, coherently, and follow an academic format. The article’s purpose is to provide conceptual and methodological foundations for writing these reports. It is essential to contextualize the experience, define objectives, and describe the process in detail, including results, achievements, and challenges faced. Finally, the discussion should reflect on the experience’s relevance and its potential contribution to knowledge or improvement of professional practices, fostering learning and transformation across health contexts.
