Application of social media data algorithms and NLP in marketing decision-making
With social media's growing prevalence, it has become a vital resource for marketers seeking consumer insights and public opinion influence. This study explores the application of social media data algorithms and natural language processing (NLP) in marketing decision-making, focusing on understanding consumer behavior, monitoring brand reputation, conducting competitive analysis, and predicting market trends through algorithmic and NLP-driven processing of user-generated content. Leveraging advanced NLP algorithms and data processing techniques, this research examines social media data dimensions—such as sentiment analysis, user behavior trends, and competitor market performance—to provide real-time market feedback, enhance consumer insights, and guide marketing strategy development. However, challenges in social media data algorithms and NLP, including data noise, algorithmic tool limitations, and sensitivity to nuanced expressions, are identified. Future research should focus on refining NLP algorithms, integrating multi-source data, and exploring industry-specific applications.
