Construction and application of big data-based green development monitoring and evaluation system

This paper commences its exploration from three aspects: growth with environmental consideration, environmental protection, and social welfare and equity. It chooses specific metrics like the growth rate of green GDP, the proportion of green industries, resource utilization efficiency, environmental quality index, pollutant emissions, ecological protection investment, the number of green jobs, residents' green consumption levels, and the social equity index. By combining government - released public data, internal enterprise data, and information retrieved from the Internet, it conducts data cleaning, transformation, and standardization to guarantee data accuracy and comparability. The comprehensive evaluation approach is adopted, and the entropy weight method is used to assign weights to each indicator for calculating the comprehensive evaluation value. Taking a coastal city as a case, the empirical analysis indicates that from 2018 to 2022, the comprehensive evaluation value of the city's green - focused development has been rising year by year, demonstrating a positive development tendency. In light of the evaluation results, this paper puts forward some policy recommendations, such as optimizing the industrial structure, intensifying environmental protection, improving resource utilization efficiency, and promoting social welfare and fairness. These suggestions are designed to promote the sustainable development of green - focused development.
