Tumor Congénito Palatal en Recién Nacido: Reporte de Caso y Revisión de la Literatura

We present the case of a full-term male newborn, delivered by cesarean section due to apparent lack of fetal well-being, with an initial diagnosis of congenital tumor in the oral cavity involving the hard and soft palate, suggestive of teratoma or hemangioma. The patient showed difficulty with sucking, without respiratory compromise, and was fed through an orogastric tube. Imaging studies were performed, including transfontanelle and soft tissue ultrasound, which revealed a heterogeneous mass in the right hemiface. The patient remained clinically stable while awaiting referral for surgical management. This case highlights the importance of the differential diagnosis of congenital oral masses, their impact on feeding, and the need for timely multidisciplinary management to prevent complications.
