Hybrid inorganic–organic polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane-based poly(1-haloacetylene)s: thermal, solid-state polymerization

Solid-state thermal polymerization of 1-haloacetylenes POSS gave stable, thermally resistant polymers. PolyPOSS-C2Cl, -C 2 Br , and -C 2 I show direct optical band gaps of 2.79, 2.74, and 2.38 eV, respectively.
