SOSIALISASI PEDOMAN GIZI SEIMBANG PADA IBU BALITA BAWAH GARIS MERAH (BGM) DENGAN MEDIA LEAFLET INTERAKTIF

Nutritional problems among under-five children remain a major public health challenge, one of which is indicated by the presence of Below the Red Line (BGM) children who are at risk of undernutrition or severe malnutrition. Mothers’ knowledge of balanced nutrition is a key factor in preventing such conditions. This community service activity aimed to improve balanced nutrition knowledge among mothers of BGM children through the dissemination of balanced nutrition guidelines using interactive leaflet media. The implementation method included face-to-face counseling, interactive discussions, and the distribution of illustrated leaflets containing practical information on the “My Plate” concept, selection of nutritious food ingredients, and healthy living practices. Knowledge evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in balanced nutrition knowledge scores, with the average score rising from 64.2 ± 8.5 to 85.6 ± 6.7 (p < 0.05). Participants stated that the interactive leaflet helped them understand the material due to its attractive design, simple language, and visual illustrations. This activity demonstrates that disseminating balanced nutrition guidelines through interactive media is effective in improving mothers’ knowledge of BGM children and is recommended for continuous application in community health post (Posyandu) programs.
