The Resolution of Financial Monopoly Issues in Chinese-style Modernisation and Its Global Historical Significance
Since the advent of modern society, the development of human society has been full of twists and turns, and the journey of the countries exploring the path to modernisation has been fraught with difficulties. Western capitalist countries have formed a modernisation development model centred on capital, which has long hindered socio-economic development due to financial monopoly issues. Neoliberalism's advocacy for free competition markets theoretically opposes the formation of financial monopolies, yet it fails to propose effective governance solutions for financial monopoly problems, thus failing to illuminate a path forward for modernisation. Guided by Marxism, Chinese-style modernisation innovatively infuses ppeople-orientedq principles into financial work. Xi Jinping emphasised at the Central Financial Work Conference the importance of pbuilding a strong financial nationq, affirming the role of finance in empowering high-quality development. Starting from a ppeople-centred value orientationq, he provides an original answer to the essence of financial work and applies it in practice to China's financial reforms. This approach offers new theories and solutions for maintaining global financial stability and advancing financial reforms in developing countries.
