The article examines the main methodological approaches to managing the competitiveness of territorial communities, as well as the models used to enhance it. The importance of developing the competitiveness of territories in the context of contemporary challenges of globalization and decentralization is substantiated. An analysis of various approaches to assessing and modeling the competitive advantages of territorial communities is conducted, taking into account economic, social, and environmental factors. A conceptual model for managing competitiveness is proposed, which considers the specifics of local development and community needs. The prospects for applying the proposed models in strategic planning and territorial development practices are outlined. As a result of the reform of local self-government bodies, issues related to ensuring the effective management of the competitiveness of territorial communities have become more pertinent. Addressing these issues involves significant research into the relevant methodological approaches and the processes of modeling this type of management. At the strategic level, this is achieved through the effective use of the competitive advantages available to territorial communities. Among the methods of strategic management, modeling is particularly notable due to the development of modern scientific technologies. The concept of the competitiveness of territorial communities and the analyzed relevant methodological approaches, methods, and technologies allow for the identification of the main trends and prospects in the management of territorial communities’ competitiveness.
