Multi-dimensional Seismic Data Analysis in an Advanced Reservoir Characterization Workflowsbe
Summary The primary objective of this paper is to explore efficient strategies for handling the increasing volume size and complexity of seismic datasets, while highlighting critical components of the seismic reservoir characterization or quantitative interpretation workflow. As geoscientists, our ultimate goal is to estimate the Earth’s elastic properties and use them to help estimate lithology, fluid distribution, and reservoir properties such as porosity, shale volume. Time-lapse studies are also used to identify production-induced changes in elastic properties over time.
