Importância do bloqueio locorregional com uso de anestésico local
The case study focused on the importance of locoregional blockade using local anesthetic in a geriatric dog with severe periodontitis who underwent multiple tooth extractions after infraorbital and mandibular foramina blockages. The anesthetic protocol was carefully prepared given the patient's physical condition. Hypotension occurred during transanesthesia, which was quickly controlled with vasoconstrictors, and the postoperative period included multimodal analgesia. At the end of surgery, the patient had a satisfactory outcome regarding the anesthetic protocol, demonstrating the efficacy and importance of the safely applied technique for pain control, reinforcing the importance of individualized protocols.
