Parálisis Diafragmática Derecha y Lesión del Plexo Braquial en Recién Nacido: Reporte de Caso

We report the case of a term newborn with multifactorial hyperbilirubinemia who, during hospitalization, developed mild pulmonary arterial hypertension, late-onset neonatal sepsis, right brachial plexus injury, and right diaphragmatic paralysis confirmed by imaging, managed through surgical plication. The clinical course required progressive ventilatory support, pharmacological treatment for pulmonary hypertension, and a multidisciplinary approach. The patient was discharged with home oxygen therapy and specialized follow-up. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis and timely intervention in the presence of respiratory and neurological complications during the neonatal period.
