Advanced material investigation for enhancing two-wheeler suspension performance using ANSYS optimization
A two-wheeler’s suspension system is essential for maintaining ride comfort and stability through efficient shock and vibration absorption. The rear suspension, which is directly connected to the wheels, is of utmost importance in reducing road-caused jolts and oscillations and increasing rider comfort and vehicle life. Detailed studies have been carried out on various aspects of suspension systems, including spring configurations, material behavior, and overall system performance. The objective of this research is to select the most appropriate material for a two-wheeler suspension system based on stress distribution and deformation under conditions of uniform loading. A comprehensive 3D model of the suspension system was created through SOLIDWORKS 2023 and then transferred to ANSYS 2022 for simulation-based analysis. To compare their mechanical behavior, the structural and material response of suspension components under applied loads, assessed through simulation. The parameters such as total Deformation Von Mises Stress, Fatigue Resistance, and deformation under cyclic loading and Stiffness, are evaluated. Different materials were loaded under various loading cases in order Research compares these results offering an overview of the best device to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the suspension. The results of this study contribute to the development of high-performance suspension systems, providing driving quality and better structural integrity for two-wheel vehicles.
