Perbandingan Antara Tafsir Ibnu Furak Dan Tafsir Al-Sha’rawi : Analisis Sura h Al-Sajdah Dan Al-Rum

Throughout every era, there have been scholars who dedicated themselves to the Qur'an, such as Ibn Furak. He is Abu Bakr Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Furak al-Ansari al-Isbahani, Ash'arite theologian and traditionist, was born about 330/941, perhaps in Ispahan. In 'Iraq, both at Basra and at Baghdad, he studied Ash'arite kalam under Abu 'l-Hasan al-Bahili along with al-Baqillani. On the other hand, contemporary scholars have emerged with the same mission, such as Sheikh Muhammad Mutawalli al-Sha‘rawi. He is a renown Egypt nativity scholar for his knowledge credibility in numerous fields. His activeness in the field of da’wah and social has leaped him as a renowned contemporary da’ie murabbi. His approach concerning the current philosophical interpretation in al-Quran comprehension is a noble effort in integrating ma’na and isharah comprised in al-Quran which is in line with the current scientific. This study aims to identify the methodology of writing the tafsir al-Sha’rawi written by Muhammad Mutawalli al-Sha’rawi and also the tafsir Ibn Furak written by Abu Bakr Muhammad Bin Al-Hasan Bin Furak by examining the form or method of writing the two tafsir books. This qualitative study uses the library method to collect data which is then analyzed using the 'comparative' method. The findings of the study show that al-Sha’rawi used a lot of linguistic methods and the method of verse-by-verse reconstruction. The study also found that Ibn Furak relied more on the opinions of the tabi'in in his interpretation.
