The experience of comparing international standards of quality of medical activity and search for new management solutions in providing medical care in the profile of “Otorhinolaryngology” in outpatient settings.
The scientific study presents the experience of comparing international standards of quality of medical activity, which with an integrated approach to work, allows us to study the mechanisms of implementation and potential opportunities for their practical application, identify the strengths and weaknesses of world standards, and propose new management solutions that can be used in medical organizations providing primary health care in outpatient settings, in particular, in the profile of “Otolaryngology”. Purpose of the study is to find new management solutions in the provision of medical care in the profile of «Otolaryngology» in outpatient settings (based on the experience of comparing international standards of quality of medical activity). Materials and methods. Within the framework of this work, the following methods were used: analytical, content analysis of literature, namely the provisions of international standards of quality of medical activity and the current regulatory framework. Results. International JCI standards are clearly structured and recognized by the medical community around the world, and also support the introduction of innovative technologies in healthcare, which contributes to the development of the industry and ensuring a high level of quality and safety of medical activity. ACQH standards also differ in the detailing of provisions implemented in medical practice, since they have similar terminology with Russian criteria for assessing the quality of medical care, regulated by the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 203n. We have identified a number of areas that have the potential to be applied and adapted in domestic regulatory documents in order to improve the provision of medical care in outpatient settings, including in the field of «Otolaryngology». Findings. Based on the results of the comparative analysis of world standards for the quality and safety of medical activities (JCI and ACQH), it was found that both international documents provide unique opportunities for improving the process approach to the organization of medical care in outpatient settings in the field of “Otolaryngology”.
