Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis
Abstract Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis, an uncommon inflammatory disease characterized by xanthogranulomatous inflammation of the gallbladder with intramural hypoattenuating nodules, accumulation of lipid-laden macrophages, acute and chronic inflammatory cells, may be difficult to differentiate from malignancy, both on imaging and pathologically.
