Thin Layer Chromatography Bioautography Scanning Electron Microscopy (TLCBA SEM) method for antimicrobial fraction testing
Thin Layer Chromatography Bio-autography (TLCBA) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) have been combined to observe the effect of chromatographed fractions on bacterial morphology. Coverslips overlaid on known anti-staphylococcal fraction CS1 could be processed directly for SEM testing, giving similar results to plate-dilution methods which require more test compounds and time.
