IDENTIFICATION OF THE PHOSPHOLIPASE A1 & LIPASE ENZYME FROM STAPHYLOCOCCUS EPIDERMIDIS ISOLATED FROM SEBACEOUS GLAND
There are three types of virulence factors encoded by Staphylococcus epidermidis: chromosomal, plasmid, and bacteriophage.Certain regions of the chromosome contain clusters of genes that encode Staphylococcus epidermidis virulence factors, including sialidases, neuraminidases, endoglycoceramidases, lipases, and haemolysins. From April to November 2023, 100 clinical acne samples were collected from patients suffering from acne vulgaris who visited the out-patient clinics and delivery dermatology unit of acne at AL-Hashmeia general Hospital in Babylon Province.Vitok2 compact was used to confirm 9 (64.3%) of the 100 specimens out of 100 that tested positive for Staphylococcus epidermidis, and 15 (7.7%) of those specimens were found by culture.Primers for phospholipase A1 lipase were used in a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to identify certain virulence genes in the isolates. After 35 minutes of electrophoresis on 1% agarose gels at 70 volts, the PCR amplification products were visible.
