ANALYSIS OF MIMO SYSTEM CAPACITY UNDER THE ACTION OF SPATIALLY CORRELATED MULTIPATH INTERFERENCE

In this paper, the capacity of a MIMO system under the action of spatially correlated interference is investigated and simulated. The main objective is to study the effect of correlated channel coefficients on the capacity. The paper calculates the ergodic capacity of the system as a function of the relative angular separation between the signal and the interference. The results of the analysis show that the capacity of the MIMO system under the action of spatially correlated interference depends on the angle of arrival of the signal.

Abstract

In this paper, the capacity of a MIMO system under the action of spatially correlated interference is investigated and simulated. The main objective is to study the effect of correlated channel coefficients on the capacity. The paper calculates the ergodic capacity of the system as a function of the relative angular separation between the signal and the interference. The results of the analysis show that the capacity of the MIMO system under the action of spatially correlated interference depends on the angle of arrival of the signal.
