Unmasking a hidden threat! Bronchoscopic sampling of a peripheral pulmonary nodule
A middle-aged woman presented with progressive fatigue, diffuse hyperpigmentation, hypotension, and marked weight loss. The vague and insidious nature of these symptoms posed a considerable diagnostic challenge, necessitating an extensive and systematic evaluation.Ultimately, investigations unveiled an underlying endocrine disorder secondary to an often-overlooked etiology. This case underscores the importance of maintaining a broad differential diagnosis when evaluating patients with chronic constitutional symptoms and highlights the need for comprehensive assessment to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis, thereby preventing life-threatening complications.
