Experimental study on drag of rotating underwater vehicle in towing tank
This paper establishes an experimental procedure and data processing workflow for towing tank drag tests of a rotating underwater vehicle. It first describes the test model, towing platform, drag measurement system, and the established test conditions for varying depths and repeatability runs. The study emphasizes the experimental data processing methodology: instrument measurement errors were corrected based on identified uncertainty sources, effectively enhancing drag coefficient measurement precision. Finally, experimental results are compared with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation values to validate the numerical simulation method's accuracy.
