Pd-catalyzed hydroesterification of vinyl cyclopropanes with aryl formates

Vinyl cyclopropanes can be efficiently hydroesterified with Pd(OAc) 2 -Xantphos as a catalyst and aryl formates as a carbonyl source under mild reaction conditions, providing a wide variety of carboxylic esters in up to 86% yield.
