Developing Street Garbage Autodetection System

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, municipalities (Amanah) are responsible for ensuring that all city streets remain clean and garbage-free 24/7. This task is carried out by teams of cleaning workers who work in shifts, with one group working during the day and the other at night. This research aims to develop an Android system that automatically detects any garbage on the streets and reduces the time and effort required to monitor cleaning workers. This can be achieved by installing cameras in different areas to capture real-time images of the streets and processing them to determine whether the streets are clean or not. Although the development of this system is still ongoing, this paper introduces the initial stages of developing the system and creating some of the units and components required.
